Is it going to be possible to change the language if you're using the US version, so that German players with the US version will be able to use the German language patch?
No, only the European version offers you to play in German and French, as well as English.
Will it be possible to select what exactly should be translated? for example: cutscenes in Germans but Spells and Items are still in English?
You can’t set the language for individual elements. Most part of the game will be translated, including the user interface, NPC dialog and system messages. However, there are terms which appear the same in every language, such as the monster names, which will remain in English.
Is it possible to switch anytime between German/French/English?
Users can switch between English, German and French at anytime by changing the PlayOnline language option.
How big is this patch going to be? How many MB will it contain?
This still needs to be confirmed.
What do you think about, that people who aren't able to get the ToAU add-on for whatever reason, have little to no chance to get their job up to a higher level. That means both EXP and Merrits. Was it intended to kind of force people to get the Add-On or do they not care about people without all Add-ons? Also, do you intend to do the same with the next Add-On ?
There were no problems playing in the old areas before the release of Treasures of Aht Urhgan and since we haven’t made any huge changes, it should be possible to enjoy those areas just as before. In the past, many adventurers have enjoyed those areas fully and the old areas shouldn’t be extremely difficult when compared to the others. Some of the new content added with ToAU might appear to allow easier Exp earning if compared to the old content. However, if all the adventurers gather there because of that specific reason, it will not necessarily be more efficient because of the resulting lack of monsters.
Every time we release a new expansion pack, it is true that most of the development power for the version updates goes to the new areas, so if you would like to enjoy the latest content we will recommend you to get the expansion packs. The old areas however, which we have continuously updated for the last five years, have a lot of content. Even if you can’t get the latest expansion packs for any given reason, we believe that there are many things to do.
Won't there be any problems when people will start asking things in without using the Auto-Translation-Funktion. For example a German White Mage is asked for a cure. The one asking isn't using the Auto-Translation and simply writes: Cure me! .. How will the German player know that the Cure is in German "Heilen?"
Since it is a global server system, there are many people playing the game who are from different countries and who speak different languages. Of course, unless these people try to come approach each other and try to understand each other, no matter what kind of system we provide, it won’t work. The auto translation function is just a support tool to help with the communication. In other words, if you are trying to communicate with others and have a thoughtful attitude, you might be able to understand each other even without the translation function. We believe that communicating with people from different countries from your home will bring you a wonderful experience.
Last but not least, something that struck the Co-Administrator as odd when she was leveling in a party with 5 Mithras as the only Hume: Do Mithras have furry breasts?
As you can see, only the Mithra’s head and tail are furry. For about everything else, they are almost the same as Humes.
Thank You very much. :) |
